Portobello Engineering Limited are proud to be the UK manufacturers of "The Flowrider" parts and stainless steel components with a team of technicians specifically trained in the installation of this amazing surfing machine.
Installation technicians from Portobello Engineering have recently completed projects in Turkey, Netherlands and Australia and these units are a huge success in our ever increasing leisure industry.
"Caribbean Cascade"
Another interesting project for Portobello Engineering Limited was the Caribbean Cascade Multilevel Play Unit at a leisure centre at a well known seaside resort. The brief was to assemble the structure (never attempted indoors before) and install the tipping coconut at the highest point. The feature has been a huge success at this popular leisure complex.

Company director and steam engine enthusiast Guy Debes leads our steam engine refurbishment side of the business which currently includes arguably the most unique pair of Fowler ploughing engines-circa 1873. Interest continues to grow and the Company now has several ongoing related projects. |

Television Production

"The mock up of a rare German bomber built by a Chapel-en-le-Frith company Portobello Engineering which featured in the Granada Television production "Islands at War" depicting the German invasion of the Channel islands."
Company Director Guy Debes said "Granada's props team were unable to locate a plane of this type and turned to Portobello Engineering for urgent assistance. We had no drawings of the plane but managed to work with one photograph of an original model. It was required at the film location in Jersey and we had four days in which to complete it. It was an exciting, challenging and successful project!"
